1. Will it cost me "out of pocket" to stay at your Crashpad?

No.

We will not charge more than your per diem, whether it be a Non-A Rate or On-Base Lodging Rate. No out of pocket expenses for you. Period.

2. Why not stay in a hotel?

In an extended stay for training, there is no comparison for having the ability to cook whenever you want. The access to a full refrigerator is priceless. Plus you get tons of perks, with weekly cleaning service, a garage, a printer and a living room (take that Hilton)!

3. How far from base is The Crashpad? 

Altus AFB Crashpad is incredibly close to base, just 2.5 miles! It literally takes 5 minutes to get to work. Plus it's minutes away from Walmart, restaurants, downtown Altus, the movie theater, etc. Our home was carefully selected based on location. It is in the GOOD/SAFE part of town, without compromising on distance from base or shopping. Win win.

4. Is it against the JTR to stay at a crashpad vs a hotel?

No. According to the JTR, you are entitled to stay at any location, of your choice, whether it be on- base, hotel or at a crashpad. Your commander, base commander, or finance office cannot force you to stay on base.

5. Can family come with me?

At this time we do not have a family crashpad available; however, if you are the only one in the home and your family wants to visit, we are more than happy to accommodate them. Out of respect for other tenants, you'll have to okay it with us and them though!
